Jason Priestley Dishes on 90210 Directorial Efforts

As previously reported, Jason Priestley might direct a few episodes of the new 90210.

But will Brandon Walsh ever appear on the series? Don't count on it.

“I think I sort of ran the gamut with Brandon – 249 episodes” Priestley told Access Hollywood last week. “I think Brandon did his time.”

As for directing 90210 episodes, however?

“They’re talking to my people about seeing if they can slot me in over there,” he said. “I directed more episodes of [Beverly Hills 90210] than anybody. I directed 18 episodes," adding that it would be ""really fun" to direct his former cast mates on the show.

Brian Austin Green Not Approached for 90210

Not every original cast member from Beverly Hills 90210 is on board for the CW remake.

But while Luke Perry made it sound as though he turned the series down, Brian Austin Green said he was never asked to appear on 90210. The actor doesn't sound bitter about the snub, though.

"They (producers) haven't approached me personally. I wish them the best. I hope it's a hit," Green told Us Weekly.

Don't look for David Silver to appear on 90210.

Joe E. Tata: Confirmed for 90210 Pilot!

Shannen Dohery is returning. Jennie Garth is on board. Tori Spelling will likely show up for an episode or two.

But we're extra excited to hear that Joe E. Tata - who portrayed Peach Pit owner Nat on the original series - - has told the Associated Press that he just wrapped up shooting the 90210 pilot, which airs September 2.

Tata said he's still uncertain if he'll return to the show permanently.

"The coin's in the air for me. I guess it comes under the heading of magic test: Let's see if the audience still remembers me."

Come on, of course we remeber you, Joe! We also remember the Peach Pit, which has undergone renovations for 90210 and will still be used as a primary hangout for the new cast of characters.

Kellan Lutz, Meghan Markle Added to 90210 Cast

While the current 90210 casting buzz surrounds former stars such as Shannen Doherty, the series has added a pair of new faces, as well.

Kellan Lutz and Meghan Markle have been added to the cast.

The former will portray star lacrosse player George Evans; Markle, meanwhile, will play Wendy, the school's sexy vixen who gets by on her looks.

Look for Kellan Lutz on 90210.

90210 Spoilers: The New Peach Pit!

Forget the exciting, new, young cast of 90210.

We know fans of the original series want an inside look at one of the show's true icons: the Peach Pit.

Below, we present you with exclusive shots of the classic hang out. Check out its updated logo and exterior now:

Luke Perry Explains 90210 Absence

Luke Perry has turned down the chance to reprise the character of Dylan McKay on 90210. The reason?

"When you're in the professional acting business," the actor told TV Guide, "you have to look into all these offers and I don't mean anything bad about it but creatively it's something I have done before and I don't know how it will benefit me if I do it again."

After hesitating for a bit, the star finally revealed a major reason why doesn't want to be part of this revival, citing the show's long-time producer Aaron Spelling.

"The difference between CW bringing something back and Aaron Spelling doing something back is significant," Perry said.  "And I cannot do it without Aaron."

Sounds fair enough to us. But it sounds like Shannen Doherty has no such point of view.

She really is coming to 90210. Amazing

90210 Casting Update: Shannen Doherty In, Tori Spelling Delayed

Following up the story from yesterday that said Shannen Doherty might join the new 90210, reportedly, we can change that to:

Shannen Doherty will join the new 90210.

A reliable source told E!: "It is happening with Shannen. It's just a question of how long she'll shoot, whether it will be one day or ten, and what the storyline will be, but we are working on it and it is a very real thing."

Moreover, another insider stressed that the diva-like behavior exhibited by Doherty during her run on the original series is nowhere to be found:

"I want to stress that Shannen has been very, very cool through this whole process. We have seen nothing like the behavior for which she was once famous for."

As for Tori Spelling: rumors have been swirling that the actress is no longer appearing on 90210.

In reality, her first air date has simply been pushed back. How come? We'll let Tori explain:

"I'm looking forward to returning to 90210 in a later episode, but I just had my baby three weeks ago via C-section. So right now I have to focus on recuperating, and my first priority is my family."

Breaking 90210 News: Shannen Doherty in Talks to Join Show!!!

Holy Brenda Walsh!

Multiple sources have told our friend Michael Ausiello that Shannen Doherty is currently engaged in formal talks to reprise her role of Walsh on The CW's 90210 remake.

Reportedly, Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah - the producers behind 90210 - recently met with the controversial actress to gauge her interest in returning to the zip code from which she was banished in 1994. Not surprisingly, given her lack of recent roles, Doherty is interested.

"But," whispers an insider with close ties to the series, "she wants to know what the story is going to be first." Shannen also wants more money than higher-ups are apparently offering.

Money aside, Doherty never got along well with past-and-would-be-future costars Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth. Therefore, while Doherty's willingness to return suggests she's ready (or desperate enough?) to move on, the feeling may not be mutual.

"There's still some animosity there," said a source, who admits Garth wasn't exactly jumping for joy upon learning of Doherty's potential hiring. However, counters the actress:

"A lot of time has passed, and I'm a big girl. I'd have no problem with her coming on the show."

Luke Perry Shoots Down Talk of 90210

Fans of Beverly Hills, 90210 may be excited to welcome Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling back to 90210. But they shouldn't count on an appearance by Luke Perry.

"I can't re-imagine it currently," Perry told The Billy Bush Show this week. "It's just not something that I've thought about to be quite honest."

Jason Priestley may get behind the camera for 90210, but he won't be directing former costar Luke Perry.

The man that made Dylan McKay so sexy wishes nothing but the best for his former castmates, however:

"I wish them a lot of luck. I hope they have a lot of success with it."
