But we're extra excited to hear that Joe E. Tata - who portrayed Peach Pit owner Nat on the original series - - has told the Associated Press that he just wrapped up shooting the 90210 pilot, which airs September 2.

Tata said he's still uncertain if he'll return to the show permanently.

"The coin's in the air for me. I guess it comes under the heading of magic test: Let's see if the audience still remembers me."

Come on, of course we remeber you, Joe! We also remember the Peach Pit, which has undergone renovations for 90210 and will still be used as a primary hangout for the new cast of characters.

Forget the exciting, new, young cast of 90210.

In a recent interview with TV Guide, Ryan Eggold provided readers with a preview of his character, Ryan Matthews.

The actor describes the teacher as "kind of a kid himself," evidently one that doesn't always carry on a professional relationship with his students.

"There is some tension between a student and myself," Eggold said, teasing that the dynamic will be explored in the plot episode. "I'm not sure where they're going to go with it... I do have a love interest, I can't say yet [who]."

Ryan Eggold says 90210 is "really hot." And this handsome actor knows a thing or two about being hot!

Eggold added that the Ryan Gosling film Half Nelson served as inspiration for the character of Ryan Matthews, which is interesting considering that Gosling depicted a loner, drug-addicted teacher in that movie.

"[Matthews is] definitely his own man and kind of a lone wolf in a sense. He butts heads with the principal a lot, Harry Mills (Rob Estes). He's kind of a loose cannon, and does whatever he feels."

Meanwhile, considering the fact that Brian Austin Green is not likely to appear in the new Beverly Hills, it was already assumed that Donna and David were no longer married; now, Spelling has essentially confirmed that rumor:

"I don't know if she and David are together," Spelling said of her character. "I feel like she's a career woman. And when you get married young, sometimes you evolve and then you're no longer compatible."
